Hycrome’s commitment to investing in people was formally recognised at a presentation on the 6th October 2004, when they were awarded the “Investor In People” award, the national quality standard in this field, by Les George of Business Link in Burnley.

In presenting the award, Les said a few words to the gathered workforce, highlighting that during the assessment it had been recorded that the company truly had created an opportunity rich environment, and that everyone in the company should be proud of this and of course of attaining the award.

Carly Barlow, Hycrome’s Human Resource Co-ordinator proudly accepted the plaque and certificate on behalf of everyone in the organisation, and thanked them for their previous and ongoing support and efforts in achieving this standard.
 

Hycrome is proud to announce that it recently received the runner-up prize in the Burnley Environmental Awards, in recognition of the organisation’s continuing commitment to environmental management in all areas of its operations. Hycrome is leading in its market in such issues and this award is a welcome recognition of the efforts being made to minimise the impact the company’s operations have on its surrounding environment.

The company has also recently completed and submitted it’s IPPC (Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control) license application, thanks to some excellent work by the Management Team, and in particular, Eric Smith and Kelly Ferguson (a university student working throughout the summer at Hycrome). The organisation’s thanks go to everyone involved in supporting, researching and submitting the application, which ran to several hundred pages in length on completion.
